12.6 : Start of a New Journey

So after what feels like way too long, this website finally exists!

Welcome to my website, where I'll be sharing more about my writing, projects, and snippets of my life as things come about. This has been something I've thought of for a long time, but I finally decided to create this during the latter half of my two week quarantine period. As you can see, it got put on the back burner (oops) til the end of my first term of uni, but at least it's here!

After spending nine years in Taiwan, I'm back in Canada so I can attend the University of British Columbia. While I'm excited to move on in life and gain new experiences, it's also some what terrifying as I now have to take care of everything on my own. Part of me wishes I'd had like an "Adulting 101" class in high school where they taught us about taxes, bills, rent, etc. but the "Senior Topics" class I got instead will hopefully cut it.

Either way, the future is ahead of me now. And as much as I'd like to imagine that I will somehow end up as a famous author that has the creative freedom she desires, or as the creative director at some KPop company where I can create a lore and world that better showcases a group's music, I don't know what's going to happen. The scariest thing right now could honestly be preparing myself to apply for UBC's Creative Writing program.

But I can't deny the slight optimism I have. As of right now, I already have plans for a prequel and sequel to the Dream High Novel series. In addition, I even have another idea that plays into some of my hobbies and likes outside of writing.

For now though, I'll just conclude the post as such : the future is uneasy, but I have a feeling it'll turn out alright. If I get published by a company, yay! And if not, I'll work it out.
